Busy day today. Went out around 11am with the rats and all their gear, picked up Tonia at her place and then into Blackburn Hamlet to drop the boys off at their new home. Anne is going to be a great mama to my little guys. Better than I was, probably, as she and her son interact with their rats a lot, let them run around in their family room and stuff. Chuck and Larry are going to love it there. I found myself blathering on about all their stuff and what to do and so on. I was trying to delay the moment when I'd have to leave. Sure enough, I got all teary. Gave Anne a huge hug. I'm soooo grateful to her for taking them. Fretting over what to do with them was one of the biggest worries I had when I accepted the job in Halifax.
After leaving the boys with Anne, Tonia and I went to Dennys for breakfast. I ordered this meal that was HUGE. I didn't realize. I probably ate less than half of it. It was sure yummy though. And I really needed it. Hardly at a thing all day Saturday and had been feeling a little shakey.
After lunch Tonia and I came back to my place and watched an episode of Lost that Tonia had missed - I'd taped it with my DVR. I LOVE DVR!! We must have spent about 20 minutes just going frame by frame through the scene where Mr. Eko encounters the black smoke. At normal speed, all you notice are flashes of light inside the smoke, but when you play it frame by frame, you see at least a dozen images...mostly pictures of people from Mr. Eko's life...his brother, people he'd killed, a couple of women. But there were also two creepy images...one of a big hill with a cross on top, the other of Jesus on the cross. Right after that, Eko gets born again. Ack. I hope this show doesn't turn into a Christian sermon.
After that, Tonia and I hauled a bunch of bags down to the dumpsters, which cleared out a lot of space. Made me feel better, as the place was so cluttered before that I was panicking I was a lot further behind with my packing than I really was. Tonia kept a bunch of stuff too, which was great. I'd rather give it to her than throw stuff away.
Went out for dinner to La Roma with Mum and Jack. I had something I don't usually have and was disappointed. Oh well, no biggy...we had a really pleasant visit anyway.
And that was my day!
