Today/tonight is when I really have to start buckling down and get some stuff done. I HAVE to go to the laundromat tonight - no more procrastinating. I can't leave my landlady with a comforter and pillow cases I've used and not washed. Today I'm copying all the work I've done this year to an external hard drive I'm going to take to Ottawa with me for a month or two. My fridge is defrosting as we speak...I hope it doesn't make a mess on the floor! And as tomorrow is recycling day, I can get rid of some stuff and put the rest - garbage - in the garage for the landlady to put out next Thursday (she said it was okay).
My "apartment" is becoming really difficult to move around in what with the boxes sitting out and stuff I want to pack or discard all over the place. I'm hoping I can clear that up a bit tonight. Tomorrow will be packing the rest of the stuff I'm shipping back, as I need to get it picked up on Friday morning.
My Internet connection went down last night sometime. Hopefully I can get that sorted out tonight, as I don't want to be sitting around for the next few days with no stuff and no internet too! Even my TV isn't working right - the digital cable box is messed up somehow. It started out last week with just not being able to access the On Demand parts of the service, but now it isn't receiving the show info so I have no tv guide and I don't know what show I'm watching when I turn the channel. It's really annoying - just like old-fashioned cable. I called about it, but they said they'd have to send a repairman and I told them not to bother as I'd be moving in a week. Blah.
The weather's still looking good for the drive back to Ottawa, although Tonia may have difficulty at the airport on Saturday, as they're calling for freezing rain there. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. At least I can stay at my place as long as need be if she get delayed a day or two, and now that she doesn't have to work next week, we can take our time getting back to Ottawa.
Yippeeeee...the day is almost here!!
