Countdown: 2...

Big day today! I may come in and add to this later, as it's only 7:15 am right now...the day has hardly begun.

But I woke up at 4:30 am this morning and couldn't go back to sleep! So I got up and started sorting all the mis-matched socks I'd been collecting for months. I managed to get the pile down to about 10 socks with no mates. That's not bad considering the pile I started out with! I've decided I should only buy patterned socks from now on. Trying to match solid black socks with nothing to distinguish between them than a slight difference in texture (in the low light in my bedroom, and with my blurry eyes) is almost impossible.

So I'm just about finished getting the stuff together that I'm sending by Purolator today to Halifax. This is all the personal stuff I will be living with for the next 10-12 months. I expect I'll be buying more, so I'll have more boxes coming back than I have going now, but hey...I'd be buying stuff anyway, so it's no biggie. I've done pretty well, I think. I have 3 5-cu.ft. boxes and a 2 cu.ft. box. Purolator told me their guy would be here between 9am and 6pm, so I could be in for a long day waiting. I won't want to leave the apartment for even a moment till he's gone. Blah.

So today the big job, once the Purolator stuff is gone, is to take EVERYTHING else, and either put it in a box, or throw it away. I think that should go fairly quickly. There's just odds and ends left now. So far my back is holding up pretty good. I'm being VERY careful, going slow. So...one more sleep!!
