Being November 1, today is the first day of National Blog Posting Month...NaBloPoMo. I registered a week or so ago and that means I have to post to my blog at least once every day for the month of November.
I'm just scraping in under the wire here - it's 11:38 pm and I just got home from work about 40 minutes ago. WHAT A DAY! oy.
I'd do a good, bad and ugly on it, but frankly, I don't have the energy. Suffice to say that at around 10:30, after working on this file for about 7 hours, the server disconnected me, and then my program crashed. Now I am absolutely sick to my stomach with worry that I will go in to work tomorrow morning and discover (if the server is back up) that my file has been corrupted and I will have to start over. I should have thought to copy it to my local disk a few times through the day. I should have set up the program to do auto backups. The best I can say is that I saved regularly and (fairly) often while I was working on it.
Please send that file-healing energy my way...I really do not want to start over again. I literally don't have that kind of time to lose on this job if I want to make my deadline.
