"Cross-pollination" of TV shows

Sitting here reading blogs with the TV on in the background. A new show called "Chuck" which I haven't seen before. The premise is that a whole bunch of secret information was accidentally downloaded into the brain of a goofball named Chuck, and now, for some reason, Chuck is undergoing a procedure to get the info out of his head.

Anyway...I looked up for a moment to see a scene where Chuck is sitting in a chair with headphones on, speaking really fast and spewing out all kinds of tidbits of supposedly secret info about presidential assassination plots and foreign spies etc.

One of those tidbits was...wait for it....

"Oceanic flight 815 was shot down by...."

And then they cut to another tidbit.

For those who don't follow it, the reference to Oceanic flight 815 is from the TV show Lost, which is not, as far as I know, on the same network as Chuck.

Interesting! TV show cross-pollination. I wonder if that was planted there deliberately by the makers of Lost, or if it was just the writers of Chuck having a little fun with the viewers.
