I love Big Brother

There...I said it.

I am a fan of one of the trashiest, most mind-numbing reality shows on TV. I've been watching Big Brother every summer since the first season -- that's eight summers!

Some seasons have been better than others. I think my favourite was Big Brother All-Stars last summer. Dr. Will, Mike Boogie, Janelle and the grown-up adolescent, Howie. Oh Howieeeee.

This season has been pretty good too, though. So now we're down to the final three in the current season. We have Dick and Danielle Donato, the estranged father and daughter pair who've been stuck in the house together all summer (I won't even comment on how perverse it was to throw them together unbeknownst like that for ratings) and we still don't know if she's going to continue to talk to him after the show is over. And we have Zach. What can you say about Zach. He's a graphic designer, so far as I'm concerned, that makes him a good guy. But otherwise. Boooring.

All summer long Dick has been working his ass off at two things: 1) Winning the love of his daughter back and 2) making everyone else in the house hate him. Quite a repertoire - love and hate all rolled up into one skanky little 80-day hallucination. I love it.

It's almost a done deal that one of them will win the whole shooting match. But there's one more Head of Household competition going on right now, and if Zach manages to win it (chances are he won't) he'll go to the final two against either Dick or Daniel.

Here are my predictions:
I predict that Danielle will win this HoH competition. Dick sucks at physical challenges (well, all challenges, mostly), and Zack's too big and uncoordinated. Then again...this is a three-part competition, so who knows.

But...
1) If Zack wins (but he won't), he'll send Danielle packing and he will win the half million because everyone in the jury house has reason to hate Dick.
2) If either of the Donatos wins, Zach will go to the jury, and at that point it won't really matter who wins because probably they'll split the money, or Danielle will end up with most or all of it as a gift from her dear ol' Dad (who she'll stop talking to as soon as the after-party is over). If Dick and Danielle wind up in the final two, I think the jury will vote to give the winnings to Danielle, again because Dick was such a ....dick to everyone.

Then again...juries have surprised me before, voting for a nasty player because he/she was truly the best player in the game, after all...and as we hear so often, this is a game.
