I had a nice little ego boost today. One of the reporters at my office came over and asked if I'd be willing to do more arts reviews should any free tickets become available in the future. I told him I'd be delighted to! I really had a fun time writing the "Fat Pig" review, and got some good feedback on it from people I know who read it. And the publicity person for the theatre group that staged the show also really liked it too!
So I told Tonia about this offer (cuz she's the one most likely to accompany me to these things) and she suggested that we form a blog together called Chubby Chicks Reviews to write reviews on plays and shows and restaurants we go to around town. Cool idea! I think we should do that! And the editor here told me it's okay to reprint any reviews I do for her as long as I put a link to the paper's website.
So! Maybe Tonia and I will become the next Siskel and Ebert! lol
