Three weeks!

Three weeks today I will arrive back in Ottawa. Oh, I can't wait. These next three weeks are going to be so hard to get through. I can't really start doing much to prepare. There's so little to pack.

I need to arrange for someone to come in and scrub my room down before I leave. Should get the car in and have the brakes checked too...they're working fine, but they sometimes make an odd thumping sound when I use them. Might start packing up some of the stuff I never use this week. It's amazing how much stuff that is...I should never even have brought it with me. I probably could have managed with half the stuff I brought.

But that doesn't mean I didn't accumulate more stuff during this past year! Oh yeah...mostly software, books and clothes. I borrowed some of those cool bags from my mother...you stuff them full of clothes or linens or whatever, and use a vacuum cleaner to suck out all the air so they smush down to a fraction of their former size. I'll be able to cram a bunch of those into my car...much more space-saving than boxes.

The rest of my stuff will have to go home the way it got here...in boxes via courier. That's another thing I need to do...get more boxes.

There was something else I wanted to talk about in this blog but I can't remember what it was! It seemed so important when I thought of it. LOL...figures.

We've had some really crappy weather here the last couple of days. Both Monday and Tuesday it started snowing lightly in the afternoon, and got worse and worse and worse and next thing you know there were five inches on the ground and we had to drive home from New Minas in it. New Minas is an hour (on a good day) from Halifax. Blah! Luckily my ride has a car that's really good in the snow...never a problem. But it was sloooow...and really hard to see at times, which is scary. It really looks wintery here now. But it'll probably all be melted by the weekend.

Anyway...I'm just writing here to waste time...so if it's a waste of my time, it's a waste of yours too. I'll stop now.
