The countdown begins

So, I've settled on the schoolteacher's place, and I've set my date - January 25.

The movers will come early in the morning to clear my stuff out and take it to storage. Someone will come and pick up my car around the same time. After the movers leave, I'll have a cleaning company come in and do the carpets and make everything spic and span for the new tenants. That should leave plenty of time for me to get to the airport for their early evening flight and I'll be tucked into my new place by 9pm or so Halifax time. It's going to be a busy day!! My car won't arrive in Halifax till the following Wednesday or so, so my company is going to let me rent a car until I get mine back.

I've got a line on a really good designer to come in until T comes back to work. He's already found himself a new full-time job, but he said he'd consider leaving it to take something with us, if it's going to be a period of time that's worth his while. I guess he doesn't like where he's working now. On one hand, I don't want to ask him to leave a secure job for something that's only temporary, but on the other hand, he's perfect for us. So now I have to bug T for an estimate of when she thinks she'll be back at work...and I'm not sure I'm really supposed to do that under the labour laws. Plus, I don't want her to feel pressured at all.

So...as I'm so fond of saying these days... "we'll see."
